Cpl Healthcare welcome experienced social care professionals to apply
for a senior post based in the Galway area. In partnership with a
well-established service, we are seeking a Person in Charge for a
service supporting children and adults with intellectual disabilities
and autism. The role will involve effectively leading a residential
service, working as part of the leadership team to provide a high-
quality service to children and adults. This is an excellent
opportunity for an experienced leader to take the next step in their
social care career.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum Level 7 in social care or applied social studies and a
relevant management qualification
* 5 years? post grad experience in social care, with 3 at a
leadership/ management level
* Excellent working knowledge on HIQA and National Standards
* Full, clean driving license
* Experience effectively managing a team
* Excellent IT skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Effectively manage the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring
the highest standard of care is provided
* Manage the development and implementation of person-centred
programmes that reflect the individual aspirations and needs of each
service user.
* Help create and add to an atmosphere in which service users are
encouraged to develop individual styles, independence skills and make
personal choices.
* Manage and monitor the annual budget, including staffing and all
aspects of expenditure within the centre (central and service user
based) and be responsible for operating within approved budgets
* Foster the participation of service users in activities within the
community and to develop an awareness of, and contact with, the group
home among members of the local community
* Complete Core HR on a weekly basis, log incidents on QMIS in a
timely manner, review emails and correspondence and submit all reports
on activities in your centre as required by management
* Prepare and implement rosters and manage in line with approved
budgets, service users needs, skill mix and keep these under review
* Be responsible for the management and supervision of permanent and
relief staff of all grades, ensuring professional and work practices
consistently meets the required standard and that development and
training needs of your staff are identified and pursued and that staff

* Undertake staff development and support meetings with all staff
working in your centre in line with agreed guidelines.
* Ensure service is compliant with The National Standards
